“Nevertheless, this a fine first effort and from it
we have a wonderfully soothing piece “A Walk in
Paradise that is a full measure for its title.”
-Ted Hasiuk – Jazz Lynx/Café Jazz Radio
"After being among the Top 50 on Smoothjazz.com, the composition, “A Walk In Paradise”, was in rotation on many smooth jazz and adult contemporary stations across the U.S. and abroad.
“Message of Life” has an urban appeal featuring Michael Lewis on muted trumpet. On “Outta Your Hands”, the pianists shows his smoothness ala George Benson.
“If You Stay”, is piano bliss with an awesome synth-soundscape.
“Lighthouse”, features bassist Solo Rodriguez (Dave Valentin, Tito Puente), with a vibrant resolve. Rhythm, melody and arrangement are in harmony on “Morningtime” and “When I Look At You”. “When We Get To Heaven”, features alto saxman Melvin Smith (Norman Conners, Michael Henderson and legendary drummer, Charlie Persip). “Harvest”, reflects the music of Earth, Wind & Fire.
After several spins, I can just applaud All-For-7(BLUE LAYK)”.

Born in Cleveland,Ohio. Kevin’s earliest musical influences were his father, a jazz singer and his uncle Leon, a well-known jazz drummer on the local and national music scene. At a young age, Kevin played clarinet in junior high and took drum lessons from his uncle. “I remember as a kid watching my uncle perform as I stood watching from outside the club. It was right then and there I knew I wanted to play the drums.” In college, Kevin pursued music while attending the University of Cincinnati. Later, while playing locally in Cleveland, he decided to relocate to New York City in May 1979 with musician Lloyd Jones.
